Mission Statement

“To engage our world and see people turn to Christ, becoming complete, lacking nothing through the instruction in God’s word, fellowship of believers and the knowledge of God’s plan for their lives."

” This statement embodies the fivefold ministry that is referred to in Ephesians 4:11. “And He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.”

At Valley West Christian Center we desire to not just specialize in one aspect of ministry. We desire to be used by the Lord as part of His body in Madera, and believe that he has called us to operate in all five offices.

Looking at our Mission Statement through this explanation, this is what you see: “To engage our world and see people turn to Christ

Evangelize -EVANGELISM-becoming complete, lacking nothing.

Empower - PROPHETIC-through the instruction in God’s word.

Equip -TEACHING-fellowship of believers.

Edify -PASTORS-and the knowledge of God’s plan for their lives.

Enable -APOSTLE.-” So in every ministry that comes out of VWCC, any ministry that comes here to minister, or any event that we participate in within the community or the world at large, we desire to see one or more of these five areas as the goal.

Evangelism - People we know and don’t know turning to Christ.

Empowerment - The fullness of God’s promises operating in one’s life.

Equipping - Teaching that not only challenges, but changes.

Edification - Knowing that God loves who you are, not what you can do.

Enablement – You have a purpose, potential and a destiny.
